Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the SoftwareWale Timetable Planner (“the Service”), operated by SoftwareWale, KKR Enclave, Annasandrapalya 1st Cross, Bangalore 560017, Karnataka, India. By creating an account you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a school, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

1. What the Service is

The Service helps a school build, validate, publish and export class timetables for Nursery through Class 12. It provides automatic timetable generation, a manual planner with conflict detection, a draft-and-publish workflow, and PDF and Excel exports.

The Service is a scheduling tool. It does not verify that a timetable complies with any board, regulatory or statutory requirement, and the school remains responsible for the timetables it publishes.

2. Accounts are single-admin

One account administers one institution. The person who creates the institution is its administrator and controls all of its data. There is no multi-user access, no role hierarchy and no anonymous or guest mode.

You are responsible for keeping access to the sign-in account secure. Anyone who can sign in to that account can read and change everything in the institution.

3. Trial

Every new institution gets a free trial of 45 days from the moment it is created. No card is required to start. Every feature is available during the trial.

When the trial ends without a subscription, what happens depends on the size of your school. If it is within the free plan — up to 15 active teachers, 8 active classes and 1 published timetable — the account keeps working, free, with no time limit. You can continue to create, edit, generate, publish and export PDFs.

If your school is larger than those limits, the account becomes view-only: you can still sign in and read everything you built, but you cannot edit, generate, publish, export or create new versions until you subscribe. We do not delete your data in either case.

3a. The free plan

The free plan is available with no time limit and no card. It includes creating and editing timetables, automatic generation, publishing, and PDF exports of class, teacher, room and master timetables.

It does not include the substitute cover module, share links, the WhatsApp distribution pack or Excel exports. Those are part of a paid subscription.

We may change the free plan’s limits in future. If we reduce them, schools already within the previous limits keep their existing access.

4. Subscription and payment

  • Monthly — ₹299 per month.
  • Annual — ₹1,999 per year.

Both plans are recurring. When you subscribe you authorise a repeating mandate (UPI Autopay or a card) that charges automatically at the start of each period until you cancel. This is made explicit at checkout because it matters: you are setting up an ongoing payment, not making a single purchase.

Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not receive or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank credentials.

SoftwareWale is not registered under GST. The prices above are the total amount payable; no tax is charged or collected, and no GST is shown on invoices.

5. If a payment fails

Recurring payments fail for ordinary reasons — insufficient balance, an expired card, a rejected mandate, bank downtime. If a renewal charge fails we give you a grace period of 7 days during which the Service keeps working normally, and we tell you clearly inside the product that payment failed and what to do.

If payment is still not completed at the end of the grace period, the account falls back to the free plan on the same terms as an expired trial: it keeps working if the school is within the free plan’s limits, and becomes view-only if it is not.

6. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from the billing screen. Cancelling stops future charges. You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the account becomes view-only. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for refunds.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, or to store unlawful content;
  • upload personal data about anyone beyond what is needed to build a timetable — in practice, teacher names and a contact number;
  • attempt to access another institution’s data, or to probe, scan or test the security of the Service;
  • resell, sublicense or provide the Service to other institutions as though it were your own;
  • use automated means to place unreasonable load on the Service.

We may suspend an account that breaches this section. Where the breach is not serious we will contact you first at the address on the account.

8. Your data

Your timetable data is yours. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train anything. You can export it at any time while your account is active, and we strongly recommend exporting before you cancel. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and to give notice of planned maintenance, but we do not offer a guaranteed uptime level. Timetable generation runs on a compute service and may occasionally be slow or temporarily unavailable.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, SoftwareWale’s total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits, loss of data where you have not kept your own exports, or disruption to school operations.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will tell you inside the product before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bangalore, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
